When will my order be ready to ship or pick-up?

GearSource works with both the Buyer and the Seller to meet everyone's expectations as best as possible.
Order timelines flow according to the steps of the order processes. Each step must be completed before the next step can proceed. For example, once an order is placed (step 1) and shipping and taxes have been applied (steps 2 and 3), nothing further happens until the order is paid (step 4). The gear is not put on hold and shipments are not scheduled until confirmation that funds have landed.
Here are some general guidelines in relation to the timing of a shipment/pick-up:
- Our team will ask you at the onset of the order communications if you have a Need-By-Date. It is critical you convey this information as soon as possible in order to avoid any miscommunications or delays. We will contact the Seller immediately to verify if that date can be met before any funds change hands.
- A Buyer must be prepared to pay promptly, especially if you have a Need-By-Date. Until payment is received, the order does not proceed. Keep in mind, there is always the potential for delays in payment processing times, both incoming and outgoing, so you have to be prepared for the "possibility" of unexpected delays.
- In most cases, especially with our top tier "trusted" sellers, the Seller is paid prior to shipping. Again, be prepared for time delays while funds transfer.
- Whether your order is being shipped or you are picking up, some sellers have a set timeline for order prep once they receive confirmation. The prep times range from 3 days up to 2 weeks. Our team will keep you informed with respect to any timelines or delays that may apply. Note: GearSource does not guarantee delivery timelines.
- If a Need-By-Date can not be met by the original Seller, our team will work with you to source the item from a different Seller, who may able to ship quicker or is closer to your location. Sellers set their own pricing, which means a change in Seller may result in a change in the cost of the item and the shipping.
Each step below represents a task that either the Buyer, the Seller or our team must perform, along with the estimated time it may take (based on business hours/days):
- order placed by Buyer;
- shipping costs applied by Seller - 4-12 hours; or shipping costs supplied by GearMoves - 2-4 hours;
- taxes are calculated based on the destination address;
- payment is submitted by Buyer (delays in payment affect ship/pick-up timelines)
- wire/bank transfer - minimum 1-3 bank days (ACH is longer) to settle
- credit card - minimum 2 bank days to settle
- Seller's payments released according to Tier Terms - timelines for release of payment vary depending on the Seller, anywhere from pre-shipment to 5 business days after delivery. An additional 2-4 business days must be allowed for funds to transfer and settle.
